    『Until daybreak』

Hello, this is Kazu Nakamura. It seems there’s been a flood of complaints about me not posting, so I guess it can’t be helped. Nah, just kidding. I’ll write with a positive mindset.

Thanks to you, Mujuuryoku no Cube ended up a huge success. It was a wild night. To all the staff and fans, thank you. Since that show’s now over, this month we’re going to be busy putting together new songs, touring with Rin Toshite Shigure and next month we’re going into recording. Nice. Busy busy. After that, we’ll be performing at summer festivals, in September there’s Chaos no Hyakunen at La.mama and in October Akatsuki no Yaon. Nice. Busy busy. Oh, but while the event is called Akatsuki no Yaon (Yaon at daybreak), we’re not going to play all the way until morning, so please take note of that. It’s just a title, you know.

Today we’ll be appearing on All-Night Nippon. Nice.

Also, this is way late already, but thank you very much to everyone who gave me birthday presents. I received everything from really intricate and expensive ones to relatively good-for-nothing ones. I was really happy. Really, really happy.

It’d be nice if the weather cleared up tomorrow.

    『Guinness sure is good』

    Hello, this is Kazu Nakamura.

Today is my 24th birthday — thus, I received 24 Guinness from the 9mm team. That’s pretty awesome, though I do wonder if I’ll be able to drink them all. For the next several days, I’m gonna be full of Guinness. I’m happy. Thank you.

Now then, we return to doing shows again from around tomorrow. We have a lot of ’em in May. Looking forward to them. I’ll do my best.

Hello, this is Kazuhiko Nakamura. Long time no see.

Yesterday, I went to see an event called HIGH LINE NIGHT at Shimokitazawa QUE. I had a really funny experience there.

After the show, I was hanging about back in the corner. A woman approached me and said “Um, may I shake your hand?” OGRE YOU ASSHOLE and People In The Box were playing that night, both bands that 9mm has connections to, so getting someone approach me like that wouldn’t be out of the question. I shook her hand, then just to make sure, I asked her. “Do you know who I am?” And so she answered me. “Ummm, OGRE’s……

Wha–, whaaaat!!!!!!! Was she mistaking me for Deto¹ or something!? So, I calmly replied to her. “Wrong.” Following that, it somehow got really embarrassing for me and I left without saying my name. In other words, I never told the woman I’m the bassist of 9mm.

Well, it seems that woman came there with one of the people organizing HIGH LINE and she seemed to have later realized who I was. That’s good. Afterwards, when I told this story to Deto, he told me he’d just recently been reading a magazine where he mistook a picture of me as himself. Hmm, do we really look that much alike?

Everyone, be careful when calling out to artists.

    『You people come on』

    Hello, this is Kazu Nakamura.
I’ve finally calmed down after our tour that ended up a huge success.

I went to see Rage Against The Machine live at Makuhari Messe today. I got lucky as an acquaintance gave his ticket to me. I wasn’t actually planning on going but I couldn’t resist their appeal. Actually, I went yesterday, too, so I saw them two days in a row. Sorry, but I love Rage.

Nah, but it was great. It feels like my wishes were granted by the Eternal Dragon. For the first time in a long while it felt like I really saw a band I love. I feel very satisfied. It was also the first time in a while for me being at a show strictly as a member of the audience. I got discgracefully, absurdly fired up. I’m completely worn-out. When you get into your twenties, your physical strength really does go down, huh.

I attended the show today with an EMI director, writer and cameraman. Since they’re all people I usually only meet at work, seeing them in my private time like this felt somehow “fresh“, or I should just say, it was somehow quite pleasant. After the show, we went to Shibuya and had some drinks together. Spending time like this every once in a while isn’t all that bad either.

I’ll do my best from tomorrow. This was Kazu Nakamura.

    『While eating Garigari-kun

Happy New Year. This is Kazu Nakamura.

This is going to be an unlucky year for me. Pictured here is my mask of misfortune, packing a dreadful punch. Of my friends who had an unlucky previous year, Takuro got 3 stitches above his eye and Taki broke his front tooth. It’d be good if nothing happens to me.

With that, please treat me well this year, too.

    『That’s right, I’m a weird old man.』

    Hello, this is Kazuhiko Nakamura.

Last night I secretly took part in a DJ event called “Getting Better” over at Shimokita.
I was so nervous as well as drunk, so I messed up with the mixer’s controls twice (badly!). I still feel uneasy about that. But it was really fun. Also, seeing that there were several people wearing 9mm’s T-shirts made me really hyped up. I wonder if they knew I was going to perform. Ah man, it was fun!

Now then, today it’s FACTORY. We’ll do our best in high spirits.

    『Everybody Pucchin!』

Hello, it’s Kazu. Long time no talk. I’m doing alright.

We got on the cover of the BEA newspaper. Also, my autograph’s changed somehow.

Right now we’re making a night trip to Nagasaki after our show in Kagoshima. It seems there’s going to be lots of tunnels, so we’ll do our best to not get too gloomy during the drive.

Those coming to the show, after the show’s over, do properly wipe your sweat, change into dry clothes, wear something warm and so on. When you get home, remember to wash your hands and rinse your mouth. Tea is supposed to be good for that. Let’s do our best against the cold and try to finish the year on a healthy note.

With that, good night. This was Kazu.

    『My triumphant return』

    Hello, this is Nakamura.

Just now we were doing a live radio appearance in my hometown of Sendai. Outside the window I could see a pretty big crowd gathering for us which I made me really happy. Back in my senior high school days, I, too, came over to the Date fm to see michelle gun elephant’s live broadcast. Back then, I couldn’t have even dreamed of someday being there and talking myself. It makes me really glad we have such warm, supportive fans. My hometown sure is nice.

Now then, only one show to go on Space Shower Retsuden. Time goes by so quick. We’ll give it our all and do our best!

    This was Nakamura.

    『Trimmed, feeling refreshed.』

    Hello, it’s Kazu Nakamura.

For some reason, it seems “Discommunication e.p” is selling very well and and debuted at 9th place on the Oricon Weekly Charts. Amazing. I feel grateful. I’m really happy.

    It’s gotten cold.
The other day I took out the kotatsu, but I still haven’t plugged it in yet.

I have an interview for a bass magazine tomorrow. Feeling nervous since I’m going solo.
Wonder if it’ll be cold tomorrow, too.
Though I was born in Tohoku, I’m still weak against the cold.

Thank you, this was Kazu Nakamura.

    『This is communication』

    Hello, this is Kazu Nakamura.

Our major debut is finally, finally being released tomorrow.

    I’ll be reviewing it here.

“Discommunication e.p.”, going on sale tomorrow, is a CD featuring our new song “Discommunication” as well as a live track that includes our complete show at the Shinjuku LOFT on 6/16. Same volume as an ordinary album. It’s available for the shocking special price of 999 yen. How silly is that? I think this is kind of a must-get so please be sure to buy yours, everyone. You’ll recognize it from the wicked cover art.

With that, starting tomorrow you’ll be able to find 9mm in CD shops near you.
Best regards and see you later.
