If others can have their new bands, why can’t Makoto? Makoto has announced in his website that he has formed a new band called “Trick“. More tricks about the band can only be found in the future, as everything is still “shrouded in mystery”.
Henkka edit: One bit of information! Makoto’s site says that their first activity will be participation in a Seikima II tribute. I assume that translates to one track from them on a cover album.
Cool! Good for him. 🙂 I edited the post to add a bit about the band they’re going to pay tribute to… I wonder if this means their music will be a bit on the metal side of things? :O
Metal?!!! That would be scary 😐 the closest to metal that I can enjoy were The Underneath and ACID. Both bands are no longer around, so maybe this new band will include former members of those bands? XD
Anyway, sorry about missing the information about the Seikima-II tribute thing. You know, google translate puzzles me a hell lot of times XL
Well, you can take that guess with a (hefty!) pinch of salt. 😉 Just because they’re covering a metal band doesn’t mean they’ll be metal themselves. Case in point, a recently released Metallica cover album featuring J-groups had such bands on it like Beat Crusaders and Polysics… neither are anywhere near metal I’d say. And besides, in all honesty I’m not sure how well Makoto would pull off any metal vocals!
And don’t worry about it. Google Translate is handy for getting a good gist of things but those little bits of info can easily get lost in translation! No harm done in any case. 🙂
His old voice won’t be to good for metal, but maybe he can do it with his “flair” voice. Freezing Blood was cool and heavy. I think if he does some screaming with that kind of voice, maybe we can have a new singer named “Metal Koshinaka” XD
You think he can pull it off? Mmm… well, depends just how metal we’re talking here. 😉
Maybe he can do some “light metal”, not something too devious. Anyway, the “Trick” thing is no longer there in his website, is it cancelled just less than a week after the announcement? That would be bad 🙁
Oh wow, right you are. That’s… curious. Well, could just be a false alarm — after all, this kinda thing has happened before and it was nothing, so…
But at least they were still there in the T.N.B. website, no words of conformation that the reunion was cancelled. This time, it has been removed completely, making me feel that actually it was a hacker who was tricking us all along. Guess we’ll have to wait for a few days, and if it was a fake thing, surely they’re going to post an apology
True… it’s a little bit worrying. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
