Here’s one from earlier this month when Makoto went to Thailand early for a little promoing.

Thanks everyone

The first day of Λucifer’s 10th anniversary tour at Osaka!
Thanks to the kindness of the fans and the staff, we were able to wrap up the live~Thank you!

However, it was the first time I was using a bit of foundation live..
The foundation as well as my hairspray that were dissolved by sweat really hurt when it entered my eyes! (lol)

We’re now busy moving towards Nagoya but,
I’d love it if I could check out the area some more~.

Everyone, let’s get excited at our convention of old songs today, too (lol)

Nagoya!

Λucifer reunion tour at Nagoya has come to its end!
Thanks to everyone who came!
All that’s left is Tokyo!
This is me again in the dressing room with a cold one!

Santa’s blog 2010/08/27

Nagoya done

As Λucifer was able to safely finish up at Nagoya, we’re now heading towards BLITZ~
Or rather, we’re returning home, but anyways! (lol)

It was good watching a movie yesterday while commuting so the boredom never set in~.
Wasn’t the MC by Makoto & Akkun at Nagoya and Osaka basically about this movie?
…Let’s have high expectations for Akasaka as well! (lol)

Akasaka last day!

Λucifer’s domestic reunion tour is over!
Thank you very much to everyone who came!
Also a huge thank you to the staff!
It’d be nice if we were able to do this again sometime! Well, there’s still Thai left though!
We’ll be freezing (activities) after that!
Really, thank you very much!
It was fun!

Towa’s blog 2010/09/02

Freeze

The word “freeze” which suddenly came about in yesterday’s blog probably left some people who didn’t come to the last Tokyo show wondering what it was all about, so I’ll explain just in case now.

In the last MC, I said,
As the reunion comes to its end, that also means re-dissolution… It was by the leader’s as well as everyone’s own decision that Λucifer are freezing activites again.

Well, that’s the explanation for now…

Well then, today’s picture is the evening sky from when I was running.
I’ll keep on running~

Santa’s blog 2010/09/06

After the festival…

To those of you who came to Λucifer’s 10th anniversary commemoration live in Osaka, Nagoya, Akasaka.

The tour ended yesterday at Akasaka.
To all of those who came to the venue, and those of you who cheered us on from home. Seriously, thank you very much.

How Λucifer came into being is like you already know,
At first it was born from Shinjo Mayu’s manga,
The manga was turned into an anime,
From the anime, the real thing’s “design” was realized.

Thinking back now, because it’s a band that was put together,

It’s not just the five of us members — the office staff, recording staff, tour staff all contributed with various ideas. Though we sometimes quarreled, we started working as one trying to figure out the ideal way to work with the band, and I think we were finally able to bring Λucifer to life. And then, thanks to the fans who started supporting that creation called “Λucifer” (Note: what Santa literally says here is ‘that flower vase called “Λucifer” was filled with flowers by you fans…‘ I swear, I’m not making this up!), we were able to become very successful and have lots of activities…

Λucifer isn’t just the five of us.

Λucifer is all the staff, all the fans and everyone else who participated in making Λucifer happen.

This time with Λucifer’s reunion live, we had high expectations as well as anxiety about it. It’s been seven years since then. The pace at which our fans were living — going to university, finding employment — I knew that had changed, so honestly I had anxiety about if anyone would come see us.

As I was worrying about things like that, I later came to know that the chief behind this production had said that if by any chance the worst happens and not even one person comes to see us, he’d be taking responsibility for it all.
Even under such dangerous circumstances, Japan’s specialists in music production cheerfully came to help us out.

And then, when we jokingly said in the rehearsals
Shall we give our all~?!” “Nope!
As we were having that conversation,
Stop saying things like that.”
we got told that by the person responsible for PA…

Seriously, even though it was said in jest, I said something I shouldn’t have. It’s inexcusable.
Embarrassing…

Somehow I’m really filled with emotion right now. As I’m writing this, tears are coming out. Really, thank you so much everyone.

Visual kei? Idols?… is what you often hear Λucifer being referred to as, but
So far, to me it doesn’t feel like we’re visual kei. Idols? Not quite there, either… I don’t quite know where I stand on this, but I again felt this same feeling.
Λucifer aren’t visual kei nor  idols.

Λucifer are quite simply Λucifer, nothing more, nothing less.

We worked as one with specialists in Japan’s music industry, and together with all the fans created what we are today, a band that jumped into existence from an anime! Is there something wrong with that??… that’s how I feel about it.

It’s seven years since the break-up, and something that I back then never imagined would happen again, happened… we saw a new light.

Thank you.

It’d be nice to get together again sometime.

Everyone in the Λucifer family, all together now!!

(Note: in English:) Thank you Λucifer’s family

And there you have it. Sigh…

Next up from me, translations of the Thai rehearsals. Probably Atsuro/Yuki twitter translations after that. It’ll be only after the actual show at Bangkok has already happened, though… sorry!

Makoto’s stage play and some more pictures of him at J-Channel office

Makoto has confirmed that he will be the main character of a stage play called “Urizun no Kaze”, which will be held from 26th to 31st October. He will be paired with Misato Hirata, a 31-year-old gravure idol who portrayed Konomi Amagai in the movie Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers in 2006 (click here for her pic). More info about the play here.

Also, as stated before, Makoto was in J-Channel office last week to promote Λucifer’s upcoming Thai concert. He stated that he’s going to learn about acting, so we can all look forward for some dramas from him!! Here’s some picture of him at the office:

More pictures here.

Rayflower album out & TRICK debut

Rayflower, Yuki’s new band, is releasing their first mini album today, it’s called “Flower Language”. The album is released in regular and limited editions (as usual, the regular one has only a CD and the limited one has a bonus DVD). Here’s the tracklist:
1. Runaway Brain
2. Inishie
3. Shinjitsu no Mori no Naka de
4. Social Network Generation
5. Uragiri no Nai Sekai Made
6. Hanataba -From Rose With Love-

The DVD from the limited edtion contains (only…) one video, which is the PV of Uragiri no Nai Sekai Made.

And if you were questioning about what happened to their official website (yeah, it has been down for weeks), actually they are moved into a new website, which in my opinion is cooler than the old one.

Also, just as a reminder that Makoto’s new band, TRICK is also debuting today. Like it was reported before, they are participating in SEIKIMA-II tribute album, which is out today. But the strange thing is, the full line-up of the band is yet to be revealed, with SHUSE, the bassist of Acid Black Cherry is the only other member revealed other than Makoto himself. I think we really got to have the CD first to discover the full line-up.

And for all you fanboys/girls, my friend who lives in Thailand went to J-Channel Office last week to meet Makoto in person!! Yes, he was there to promote their upcoming (and sadly, the last) show. She took a video, which was very short but I think kinda good enough. Here’s a picture signed by him for her:Oh man… if I was her, I’d go and rape him XD

The Thai show is just 10 days away, maybe there are still tickets available, so try your best to be there!!

Λucifer Tokyo 2010/08/31 live report + setlist

(Thank you to Yuji on mixi for writing this awesome report and letting me translate!)

Λucifer 10th Anniversary LIVE Tour Rinne 8/31 in Akasaka BLITZ

Lights out.

The stage hidden by curtains.

We’ll be back!
Those parting words MAKOTO left us with at the Kokusai Forum, coupled with the SE “LEGEND.”

The members’ pictures are projected onto the curtain as they enter the stage.
And so they start playing the first song of the evening, “Silent Melody.”
The moment they enter the chorus, the curtains drop — and before one’s eyes is Λucifer.

This group of five, standing on stage again after seven and a half years.

Starting from the second song of “CARNATION CRIME”, it’s an explosion of up-tempo numbers.

The vocalist displaying his style that is both rough while also of good taste.
The guitarists making their presence known, striking their instruments but paying mind to detail.
The rhythm section playing together extraordinarily tight, yet aggressively.

MAKOTO
YUKI
ATSURO
TOWA
SANTA

The live was a showcase of these five people truly enjoying themselves.

The performance they did in the middle of the set, “C no Binetsu”
The song I was looking forward to the most.
The me who was watching KAIKAN Phrase around 11 years earlier was resurrected.
I was shivering from nostalgia.

It was a normal standing live without too much pushing, but as we got to the second half and “Poker Face”, the moment YUKI jumped off the stage into the arena was when it turned into a real, intense live within the crowd, too.

During “Midnight Crow”, the last song of the main set, was when I thought the most sense of unity was felt.

The last encore was “Datenshi BLUE.”
Finishing off with the song that started it all felt appropriate.

The MC’s were really “talk as much as you’d like.
They were like at a class reunion.

「Λucifer will keep on living in everyones’ memories」

Thanks to being blessed with such a good number as 90 when lining up, I got to see the show from a really nice spot!
This day, being able to take part in Λucifer’s live, will make for one fantastic memory!
If they come back, I’ll definitely want to see them again!
Λucifer’s the best!!

Λucifer’s thoughts on first reunion live

Yuki’s tweet: Λucifer’s live ended. Somehow I played guitar more freely than in the old days (lol) Since there’s no weird pressure (lol) Everyone who came to see us, thank you very much. Everyone who’s followed me [on twitter], too, thank you for the support. — 10:49 PM Aug 25th
Atsuro’s tweet:
I was able to properly convey my feelings so it was a good live m(._.)m To those of you who waited afterwards for us to come out, this picture I took from the taxi is of course blurry, but thank you (^_-) (picture) — 1:23 AM Aug 26th

Good work at Λucifer’s Osaka live. You couldn’t see from the performance at all that it had been 7 years since the last time. The five of Λucifer really are the best. This time I’m only able to go to the Osaka live but I’m hoping for tomorrow’s live to be a huge success. Thank you very much for the seriously good time.

Good work!
The live was the best!
Although I couldn’t really get the best spot, seeing Towa again, you were cool like I thought (≧▽≦)b
The next time you have a live in Osaka I want to again ヽ(´▽`)ノ

Good work at the Osaka live.
For today’s sake I worked 16 days straight without a day off, and with that payroll travelled alone from Kagoshima.
As I thought, Λucifer is the best.
Since it was 7 years since the last live, I’m sure you must’ve had some uneasiness about it, but the body sure does catch up to old things quickly, right?
Thank you for a day filled with happiness.
Please do your best tomorrow, too.

Thank you very much for the fun time. I really really love Λucifer.
Next, I’m going to attend the Akasaka show.
I managed to get Towa’s pick. I’m going to take care of it as a heirloom (≧ω≦) (lol)
Thank you very much.

Good work! It was a fun live!

As a bonus, here’s a live report by 濱中@刺身以下 on mixi

The MC’s we’re generally relaxed and topics included Makoto jokingly asking “Should I let you see that lowered eyebrows look I used to always do in the old days?” and showing off that cold glare again, doing a Koriki impression, and exposing Yuki for using a facial massager in the dressing room (lol)

From beginning to end, the members were really laid-back or should I say kind of touchy-feely, and seemed to be enjoying theirselves.

However, during the MC when Makoto got on the topic of how it’d been many years since Aucifer’s break-up, and yet the fans were still waiting for them, he suddenly stopped mid-sentence and looked like he was holding back the tears.

According to him, apparently his “tear glands had become loose lately” (lol)

Makoto got Atsuro and Yuki to do something of a speed-picking guitar battle on a whim (lol)

Makoto accidentally called out to Atsuro by the name “Kato” (lol)

Atsuro forgot to join in at the beginning of a song (lol)
Makoto covered for him by making the crowd make some noise

Towa and San-chan seemed like good buddies as always, talking while reading each others’ lips during songs.

This is getting long so I’ll stop here (sweatdrop)
Towa is my favorite member and from my location I mostly just paid attention to him so I don’t have much else to report about other happenings. Sorry about that. (sweatdrop)

Personally, if you asked me to compare them to the Λucifer of olden days, I think everyone has really matured a lot in the good sense ´・ω・`)

Aucifer’s first reunion live at CLUB QUATTRO in Osaka happily came to its conclusion some moments ago.

JUNK CITY
LUCY
TOKYO Illusion
Kono Te no Naka ni
PLASMAGIC

Egovision
Midnight Crow

1st encore:
Hypersonic Soul
CASTAWAYS

2nd encore:
See You
Datenshi BLUE

(thanks to 濱中@刺身以下 and 裟夜 on mixi!)

What do you think? Pretty damned awesome, is it not?! Even starting off with perhaps my number one favorite, Silent Melody… geez!

In addition as something that is sure to be excellent news for those who can’t attend, Aucifer will be releasing a live DVD of their September 1st live at Akasaka BLITZ in Tokyo. As the description for it eloquently puts it:

We’ll be back!” — the promise Makoto made at the Kokusai Forum is finally being fulfilled.”

The DVD is tentatively titled “Λucifer 10th Anniversary LIVE” and is supposed to be around 120 minutes in length. No release date has been set yet.

If that’s not enough to quench your Aucifer thirst, they’re also releasing a photobook! It’s planned to have 56 pages containing interviews with members as well as various pictures of Aucifer before the tour, during rehearsals and in concert, as well as full coverage of their upcoming live in Bangkok, Thailand. Like the DVD, the photobook’s release date is to be announced later.

They’ve set up an online shop where the DVD is priced at ¥6,800, the photobook at ¥3,800 or a set of both at ¥10,000. The DVD has a limited edition jacket that will only be available to those who reserve their copy by 9/30 — reservations from 10/1 onwards will get the regular edition. Unfortunately, as is often the case, those outside of Japan won’t be able to purchase from the store.

Time to message those Japanese friends of yours, or in the worst case scenario use some service in Japan to mail you the goods!
