It’s been a while, hasn’t it?
After 3 years of silence (other than doing some small gigs), Yuki and his band Rayflower will be releasing their second mini-album titled Narcissus on 2014.02.19. The album will include 6 songs, with the one of them called “Libra”. It will cost 2,000 yen (around $20 US). Stay tuned for updates.
And I can tell that they are quite happy with the announcement too. Watch them announce the album with beaming faces here.
Wow, nice! Here’s to hoping at least one of the songs will have a songwriting credit by Yuki. Since I now live in Nagoya and seeing as their tour in March comes by like 25 minutes away from where I live, I might just have to drop by and see ’em…
PS. Good to see you again. 🙂
Remember how you used to say that you’d hate me if I could go to Λucifer’s Thailand show? Now I’m gonna hate you for seeing Rayflower in Nagoya 😀
I don’t really care if Yuki made a whole song by himself, if he did the guitar track for those 6 songs, it’s good enough. It’s his part anyway.
PS. Dude, how’s life in Japan? How many AKB members have you met? I heard Japan is warmer than Europe other than during winter, is it true? And… how many AV stars have you bump into at nightclubs? Can you send one to me here?? 😀
Hehe. Not sure if I can make it there yet. I’ll try though. But if I do, I’ll just have to accept all your hate. 😉 And yeah, true. It’ll be good just hearing his guitar again.
Life in Japan is great! I’m going to disappoint you, but unfortunately I’m not one for either AKB or nightclubs… If I do bump into one, I’ll definitely send ’em your way though.
About winter… the temperatures themselves are nowhere near the levels of cold Europe can reach. But the thing is that the apartments here are built in a way that enables people to not die in the scorching heat of summer (which doesn’t really work because everyone is half dead anyway)… the tradeoff is that it is god damn FREEZING inside the house during winters. In Finland when I was walking back home from work through the snow in -20 celsius weather, at least I knew I’d be returning to a nice and warm apartment. That is not the case here. Just yesterday before I went to bed I checked the temperature of the bedroom before turning on the heater. It was 9 celsius. It’s not terribly pleasant. 😉
Oh yeah, you’re more into H!P. I’m into neither of those, used to like Erina Mano for two songs, then when I looked for her other songs, most of them were unbearable. It’s amazing for metal heads like you and your friends at your other blog can be so flexible about music. I do like Rammstein a lot, and a bit of Metallica, but usually I can’t take too much heavy metal. Trash, death or black metal are all out of the question. When it comes to pop, usually I listen to those that use instruments and not sound effects-heavy. That’s why I can’t listen to most mainstream pop songs. I like a lot of girls from Lantis, I like Maaya Sakamoto, but the likes of Hikaru Utada or Ayumi Hamasaki, most of the time I don’t.
I suggest you come here to Malaysia, try and feel how hot it is. It’s always well above 30 celcius during afternoon, like when I’m typing this, an iced cup of Pepsi is my good buddy. I live in a classical wooden house (as most people in my area do) and we usually use fans instead of air conditioner due to how much power they suck. I don’t want to spend 10% of my salary for electric bill alone.
Yep, H!P is more of my thing. I have a soft spot for their songs — they’re mostly written by the same guy. Erina Mano is one of the exceptions though. Depending on which songs of hers you liked, if it was the early stuff, there’s a good chance it was written a guy called KAN, an artist you might like (if indeed it was songs composed by him that you liked).
And yeah, even though I arrived here late in summer, early autumn almost, it still gave me a pretty good idea of what actual summer heat can feel like. There’s a good chance I won’t make it alive through next summer when I have to experience it for real. 🙂
You know what dude, I wasn’t exactly finish listening to her first album. I had it for about 2-3 times then moved on to some other things because it didn’t get my attention back then. Now that I listen back to it, I gotta say that Summer Party is one fucking great song. Really great. Even though the video is not an easy watch due to me having the tendency to cringe when looking at little girls jumping around like they do, the song is a 5 star caliber.
I like Manopiano and Lalala-Sososo too. Lucky Aura & Otome no Inori, not that much, but those aren’t terrible or anything, but those aren;t great. Btw the 2 songs that I talked about were Kono Mune no Tokimeki wo and Love & Peace = Paradise. I like Kono Mune no Tokimeki wo because it doesn’t sound too childish, and how relaxing it is. Love & Peace = Paradise is adorable, both the song and the PV. I remember someone at JPopAsia told me that he got annoyed by the song & the PV, but I didn’t give his opinion any shit.
Yeah, Sekai wa Summer Party is probably my favorite song by Mano Erina, too. Lots of good, drunken summer memories attached to that song. 🙂 And funny… like you, I like Manopiano and Lalala-Sososo as well, and Lucky Aura and Otome no Inori not so much. In any case, those five songs were all composed by KAN. If you feel like it, you ought to check him out.
Meh, I’ve never been a member of JPopsuki so I can’t go to the link you gave. I found his Japanese wiki page though, I’ll start doing some research about him.
Sent you an invite if you need it. And if not, his album “IDEAS” is a good place to start. (It’s a best-of album.)
Much thanks dude. I’ll do it tomorrow night. It’s almost bedtime for somebody who’ll need to work in less than 5 hours 🙂
