「Chaos no Hyakunen vol.7」
It feels like it’s going to be another fun night. We’ll be at the venue soon!

「The day before two things」
Today is the day before act2 and ac3 are released, and the day before 9mm Day. Despite this, the typhoon is here. Our drummer isn’t particularly one that summons rain through his drumming (even though his drumset is like a blue hurricane)… and it’s not even that the four of us combined are particularly rain men… we even see Mt. Fuji clearly each year we appear at SLS…… Well, I’m sure it’ll have passed by tomorrow! Those of you who can’t make it to the show, I’d definitely like you to get the DVD’s and spend the time watching those.

「9mm Day」
At last! It’s been announced! The line-up for 9mm Day! Hey! Those of you who didn’t know about that yet shouldn’t be reading this. Go and check out the website for details and then come back. Those of you who already know, please proceed to read further.
We finished our summer festival appearances the other day. We played last at TREASURE, so after our show they had fireworks which the four of us were watching while enjoying our drinks after diving in the backyard pool. The fireworks had already started during the encore. It actually seems the Lagunasia in the neighborhood didn’t even have that much to do with the event when doing the fireworks (going about it basically just asking, “so what time is your event ending?” (laughs)). I spent the time while getting a little bit sad because of the end of summer. As for SWEET LOVE SHOWER, need I even say it? If there’s a magnificent Mt. Fuji like in the picture from before, our performance and whatever is just the icing on the cake. We had fun playing as the day was gradually drawing to its close. Looking behind me in between songs, the color of the sky changed several times. In addition, Pierre Nakano was roaring with laughter for some reason. Good grief.
Yes. Is everyone back? 9mm Day! It’s become a line-up that makes you honestly think, “there aren’t a lot of nights like this.” Even those who got their tickets without knowing who the other bands would be should relieved. It’s a show even I’d want to go see, just like that. No, not just like that. Rather, it’s a show I’d want to go, wildly enthusiastically. Keep washing your hair for about a week more and wait! With that, later.

「It’s Laguna Beach」
We arrived at Gamagoori in the evening and made some noise at the venue of TREASURE that’s still under construction at the moment. 9mm performs at 19 o’clock when it’ll be completely dark so I think it’ll be pleasant, but it seems there’s not many places where you can escape the sunlight during daytime. Since I think the people who are coming there in the evening only to see us are an extreme minority, it’s best to prepare a parasol or a big towel. There’s some awesome scenery. There’s blue skies and a beach for as far as you can see. There’s also a ferris wheel in the nearby amusement park-like place which I think would give a great view of the venue. Only, I don’t think you could hear the music at all. (laughs) Also, I heard that you can use the nearby pool inexpensively if you show your wristband, so going there might be a good idea for people who’ve gotten sick of the heat. Mmm, I’ve now started sounding like a tour guide for the festival so I’ll stop here. (laughs) With that, see you at the venue.
Pictured here is a ferris wheel we saw from the backyard.
The picture is the wrong way, though. (laughs)

「Long time, no talk」
Thank you to everyone who watched our show today. Playing with the HIATUS is always fun. Today’s was of course a regular show, so I’m glad we got to watch them play for such a long time. We’ll immediately have another one this week: we’re playing at a festival in Nagoya called TREASURE. To those of you coming on that day, let’s have fun. We’re playing last, by the way. Hope to see you there. Even though we’re getting close to the end of summer according to the calendar, it still continues to be hot. I think we’ll have the announcement of who’s playing with us on 9/9 soon. Look forward to it. I hope the authorized people already in the know won’t say it on twitter or something (I don’t really know about the structure of the organization).
Now then. For some reason or other, 9mm’s doing songwriting in between preparations for our upcoming shows. It doesn’t seem like summer’s ending before 9/9. That’s about it. Later.

「About July 22nd」
We did our performance at GG10. To George and everyone from the GG staff as well as to everyone who was at the venue, thank you. There wasn’t a rainbow this year, but it was a good evening.
However, it surprised me how it was such an unreasonably hot day. Before the performance around the time when the sun was starting to go down, we were playing catch ball with the baseball-experienced staff member K and kicking around a soccer ball with Taki and Kazuhiko behind the venue. Exercising in the warmth feels good. I tend to get all chilly from the air conditioning before our performances, so just moving around a bit for a change, my body felt great. But even though it’s this hot, the cicadas weren’t singing at all. I think last year around this time they were still hanging on to the trees for a while longer. And then at the end of summer, they’d be scattered about on the ground. Mmm.
By the way, it seems 22nd was the one year anniversary of Abefutoshi’s death. A couple days before that — not even realizing the day was coming up — I just spent the entire day listening to michelle because I felt like it. I’m praying for his happiness in the next world. A year really does go by so fast.

「I turned 27」
Long time no see, everyone. On July 19th, I turned 27. Wait, so does this make me “around 30“? But if you look at it long term, doesn’t this mean I’m already around 40, no, around 50? Around & around? Why don’t we just say it in Japanese to begin with? I guess that’d be “三十代周辺”. It’s weird how we use the English word “around“. Actually, if we keep looking at it long term, aren’t I already as good as dead? If you think about it. Well, whether I’m around 30 or whatever, right now’s the best. At least I’ve made progress since like 10 years ago.
Uhm, let’s make talk about something more official blog -ish. Looking at the top of the page on the blog the other day: “The last post was…!? Wait, we’re still stuck in June!? This is no good, we have to announce the end of the tour…” Even though that’s what I was thinking, I ended up doing nothing. We performed at an Omotesandou event and Kyoto Daisakusen, attended a friend’s wedding party and got completely beaten by the heat during the end of the rainy season. Thus, I was thinking to myself “bleh, I’ll just blog on my birthday“, but I couldn’t bring myself to do that. And so, I’m now posting just before our first show in a while.
Firstly, this is really old news now, but Revolutionary Tour 2010 has ended. Thanks to everyone who made their way over. To tell you the truth, I was thinking there were hardly any shows on the tour, but once we got started, I found out that wasn’t the case at all. The halls felt nice and new for us, too. Next, I want to try doing a tour mixing shows at halls, huge clubs that can fit a thousand people and really tiny live houses, as well as shows with and without other bands.
For the foreseeable future, I’ll be staring at the live video of Yokohama BLITZ for the sake of an upcoming DVD release. It’s good. This was a fun show, even if I do say so myself. It makes me think there were quite a few people who enjoyed the tour. It’d be quite long with just this alone, but there’s definitely something more we want you to get along with this. The packaging is nice, too. Look forward to seeing the cover art, etc.
And then, tomorrow’s show is at GG10. This is already our 3rd or is it 4th one in a row. We keep getting called back. We’re thankful to George and GG. Last year we played on the very day of my birthday, and it was a terrific night with everyone in the venue singing Happy Birthday in unison (the footage was up on YouTube but I don’t know about now. Regardless of my facial expression there, I was really happy). This year there’s nooothing like that at all, so it’ll be just a normal show. Phew, that’s a relief. This’ll be our first time playing with andymori and, actually, chatmonchy as well. Ah, I’m excited.
Last year at my birthday show, it’d just stopped raining and there was a double rainbow in the sky which felt like a really nice omen. It seems there’s actually a country like that as well. I’m hoping it’ll be a good day this year, too. With that, see you at the venue, everyone.

「The rainy season came」
Starting today, we have three consecutive hall shows. I want to go out and play already. It seems we’re entering the rainy season all over, but I want to try and not get too gloomy. It seems the rainy season started in Fukuoka when 9mm arrived. I have this Japanese-style looking umbrella that’s full of bones. So even on rainy days, it’s not all that bad. I get to hold that and walk about.
But, yeah, maybe it’s still unpleasant. I want it to be sunny. I wanna perform already.

「Electric Hokkaido」
Playing shows in Hokkaido is fun. The guitars sound good. I’m thinking it might be because of something related to the electricity, but I don’t know the real reason. Because it’s close to England in latitude? Dunno. But they really just go like “jakiiin! bariiin!“. So, the guitar sound should be the best today as well. It seems there are still juuust a few tickets left. Come and listen as to whether they really go “jakiiin!!” or not. The weather feels nice, too. Ah, I’m excited. With that, later.
