「Refreshing ramen」
Yesterday’s event was really good. I thought Rin Toshite Shigure, the telephones and 9mm all played solid shows. As we were watching the end of the telephones’ set, we were just thinking there’s basically nothing left for us to do, everyone was already completely hyped up to the point of madness. Thanks to which, we were able to play a very enjoyable show. Many thanks to everyone.
Also, playing at O-east was funny, in relation to the stage and the floor. The building as well as the stage are both really wide. I look forward to playing there again next month.
Today we were visiting record stores. If you happen to be in Shibuya, do pop by please. No matter when you go to TSUTAYA in Shibuya, it’s always staggeringly packed with people. I try to avoid the feeling of oppression like when riding on a crowded train, but the crowd of people there keeps moving gradually in a calm manner so being there is no hassle.
After that, we went to have ramen with the four of us for the first time in quite a while. Hokkaido ramen.
It was a good, somehow refreshing day.

『I want to amplify』
Long time no talk. This is Takuro Sugawara (24).
So today was Coming of Age Day. I personally stopped caring about my age right around at 20. At this age you lose sense of what month it is, or even what day of the week it is. What’s more, even my sense of the seasons is out of order because of the abnormal weather. Ahh, not good.
Now then, for something that even I do understand. Tomorrow we have our first live house show of the year. I’m extremely excited. As to what’s so exciting? Well, the other bands on the bill as well as the venue of course, but what’s most exciting is that I’ll be using a new amp. “New” in the sense that I’ve never used it before, the model itself isn’t new at all. I’m just happy to be using it～
There’s a wonderful guitar magazine called Amp Book that me, Taki and the staff were all absorbed in reading. Little by little we were developing wild ideas as to which one to get, but in the end the one we got isn’t even featured in the book…… but, even the Amp Book itself is a wonderful thing to have. For band guys, you can’t have enough of it. I’m sure some of you know what I mean.
For example, if you just normally visit a music shop with your girlfriend, she’ll just go “This is boring! Let’s go already!” Next time, try showing her the Amp Book as you excitedly tell her “This isn’t just a box, this is a wooden frame that is filled with dreams!” She’ll never want to visit a music store with you again. Yep. That’s the extent to which guitar amps make one go mental. They’re harboring evil within them. Be careful everyone.
As I don’t know what I’m talking about anymore, I’ll leave it at that. Later.

I was supposed to go and spend the beginning of the New Year at my parents’ house, but because of the extreme cold throughout Japan traveling on KISEI isn’t possible. So, I spent my New Year writing lyrics. The whole year’s plans are made on New Year’s day is how the saying goes, and that’s exactly what happened to me last year. We were playing shows from the first day of the year all the way until December 31st. In other words, I wonder if this means I’ll be writing lyrics all year round, even on December 31st? Ah, uh… looking forward to… it…!
I haven’t done anything New Years celebration-ish but thanks to the cold wave, the air feels tingly and freezing which kind of lets me know what season it is. That’s one thing I like about winter, that tingly feeling.
Everyone try not to catch a cold and have a fine New Year’s.

Goodbye Matsuyama!
It was a good night. After the show, we couldn’t stop drinking fresh orange juice.
The 9mm team is now on a ferry headed to Kyushu.
