The 9mm team is on a ferry headed to Sapporo.

Ferry trips are very pleasant. It’s always swaying so walking is a challenge. When I think about the fact that we’re on a ferry right now, soaking in this tub sure feels lovely. There’s also a hopelessly desolate game center here that’s even more hopelessly desolate than some game center you’d find in front of a station at the countryside (it only has strip mahjong, pachinko and slot machines). What does perk my interest however is the vending machine where you can get beef yakiniku lunch boxes, and the 31 varieties of ice cream lined up next to it. Also perfect is the smoking area with the fierce looking old man who’s always in there.

We also took a long ferry trip on the “The World Tour”, but there wasn’t anything to do. Drinking, at best. But on the other hand, when all you can do is drink, it’s very fun.

We started drinking straight away last night when we boarded our ferry, so we went to bed at the early morning hours. That’s why everyone’s still sleeping even though it’s midday. But I think they’ll start creeping out of their beds pretty soon, saying “let’s start drinking again.

And thus 9mm loves ferry trips. We’d like to stay here forever if possible. But, lately I’m also starting to enjoy playing live even more than before, so I’ll have to remember that feeling and get off the ferry as per schedule.

Everyone coming to our show in Sapporo, let’s make it a fine evening.

    With that, later. Cheers.

『We merrily made lots of holes』

    Good evening.

We woke up early today to head to our PV shoot. Everyone’s in high spirits with the album coming out soon. The director was again Mr. Shimada, also responsible for “The World” and “Discommunication”. The feel of the clip is kind of strange. It kind of feels nostalgic in a way.

The title will leak soon, but it’s still a secret for now. We made the PV somewhere where you can see a ferris wheel. It was a fun shoot with some getting all hot-blooded whereas others were trying to have a cool expression in their eyes which was deemed no good (me).

Anxiously awaiting for it to be finished!! But we only just shot it today, gahaha. The tour’s about to start, too.

The shoot ended at sundown. Everyone did good work all the way from dawn. I’m exhausted.

Now then, our explosive tour reports are going to start appearing from next weekend (hopefully)! I have high expectations!!

    『Unreasonably excited』

Oh! There’s the cover art of our album there swirling next to this sentence!!¹ What’s with the design of that thing?” is what many of you might be thinking, but it’ll all be clear when you get your copy and take a look at it, so patience, please!

We’ve been invited to Hanamatsu tomorrow by ELLEGARDEN so we’ll be heading over to put on a  proper show!! I’m excited as it’s been a while since our last one in Hanamatsu.

    With that, later.
    This was Takuro……!!!

    『That guy’s shake from Mac D’s』

It was a great night yesterday. It was long but I really enjoyed myself. I’d like to do that kind of an event throughout Japan. Come to think of it, there is a tour like that at the end of the month. It’s featuring comparatively rather young people. Hope it’s fun.

I’m listening a lot to this CD by a band called “badun” that I bought the other day. Also, M.I.A. is the best.

    Later.

『We’re currently offering this product for a special, fated 9mm price!!』

    Good evening.

9mm are currently busy talking and talking more about their album that’s to be released next month. In interviews, that is. I think they’ll eventually be featured in magazines or TV or comedy shows. Looking forward to seeing if it’ll benefit the album.

As mentioned previously, we safely had our major debut on 10/10. The mother and the child are both fine. It was a splendid, easy childbirth of four healthy boys (who were already adults at birth).

Thanks to the crazy displays as well as all the staffers’ hard work at all the CD shops, “Discommunication e.p.” is selling like hotcakes! There are reports of it being sold-out all over (lie)!! We’re hearing a barrage of pros and cons (?) on it everywhere. Really, thanks everyone.

It’s okay if he can’t do well with his studies, as long as we just raise him properly……” is what I’ll keep reminding myself of as we do our best.

    It all starts here.

The day after tomorrow it’s party time at Liquid Room!!

    『Say “manifesto” 10 times!!』

    It’s getting pretty cold lately.
The long nights of autumn are upon us.
And this, too, is upon us as well:
“Discommunication e.p.”, on sale starting tonight I presume.

And some more news to go with that.

The ending theme for JAPAN COUNTDOWN is “Discommunication.” I was sitting in front of my TV during broadcast and they played it even before the ending during a CM.
E M I!!” (← me trying to impersonate the guy with the cool voice in the CM)

It’s not just on satellite TV that you’ll be able to hear Discommunication (which would mean that none of us in the band can see it, as usual). They say it’s supposed to be music programs all over Japan.
For details, check the homepage!!” (← me trying to impersonate Ken Ayugai)

Also, on TVK’s shows called “Mutoma α” and “Mutoma LIVE” they’re doing something called a video clip derby. The song that wins first place will have its video played all of next month.

Since “Discommunication” is one of the entries for it, I’d like to have it get first place and have all of next month be one big discommunication. Which’d be the opposite of the feelings that we put into the song.

Results announced 10/31 (Wed) on Mutoma α

Please do vote for us. We’ll do the same. *presses button*, there. All my relatives, I’m expecting you to send in one big block of votes for us. I’m doing my best, doing my best even today. I’m having my major debut. Indies, major, the music is lovely all the same. Though people love drawing lines, music doesn’t know any national borders. I wonder if you listen to music from Afghanistan, or Iraq, or Israel, or Cambodia, or Tibet, or Sahara, will you then get to know the feelings of those people even a little? How about the music of Japan? Whom of you tried saying “manifesto“? Good grief.

See you at our shows. Talk to you later.

『The wind up on rooftops is strong and you’ll get sunburned』

Our headlining show at LIQUID ROOM on 11/28 is now sold out!!
    Oh dear,

    T H A N K

    Y O U A L

    L.

I think there are some amongst you who didn’t manage to get tickets, but we still have plenty of shows left before the year is over, so definitely come see us please. We’re always playing with all we’ve got, so it’s okay no matter where you see us.

Before that, we still have shows in Nara and Shibuya on two consecutive days. On our way there, we’ll quickly pop by Osaka where we might appear on radio or something. If so, check us out~.

The book pictured here is a really serious one with even the jokes all deadly serious. It’s a real thrilling read. Give it a try.

『Advanced information society Japan, Saturdays’ street illumination (or, just killing time)』

Humming to myself as I came out of the supermarket I usually go to, there was a dog there, fastened to a pillar near the store entrance.

    …Damn it!

At a glimpse, it’s nothing out of the ordinary. However, when you notice it, it’s already too late: though this dog may look like its just waiting for its owner who’s buying groceries, it is actually not. It’s job is to send transmissions of our private lives to somewhere else. If there continue to be this many pet owners who don’t notice this, they can continue discreetly using these dogs for their purposes. Due to that, who knows what kind of information is being transmitted on to them.

The fact that I was planning on making miso soup with nameko tonight, or that I bought discounted spinach, or how I lost to the housewives in our race to buy pork meat that was on special sale, or, because of the milk’s high price tag, I put it in and took it out of my basket twice as I hesitated… or in other words, everything.

Just for who or for what reason they are collecting information is a mystery. However, the eyewitness information from dogs like this is not only an issue in Japan, it’s something that’s occurring worldwide. No matter how you look at it, tonight was certainly one of misfortune. Nevertheless, one must wonder just what their objective might be……

Pictured here is that dog of electromagnetic waves. It’s become a world where you can never let your guard down.

Our show tomorrow at AX will be broadcasted live on M-ON so we’ll do our best. Hope it’ll be wild.

    『9/9→9/11』

    9mm Day has ended safely.

To everyone who came, everyone from the staff, OGRE YOU ASSHOLE, Midori, DJ’s Maeda and Makoto, thank you.

Let’s definitely make it a fun show next year, too. It’s already been two days since then. I haven’t been doing anything much since. Today’s 9/11, huh. I think if after 30 or 40 years Americans seem be forgetting about 9/11, people from other countries will go “what are those Americans thinking?

That’s just something that popped into my mind when I turned on midnight TV the other day and I saw someone from The Stranglers (they’re a band from the UK, look them up) saying “The young people of Japan should know their history better, Hiroshima and Nagasaki and all that. All they seem to be doing is shopping.

The weather’s kinda iffy, but I guess I’ll have to go out anyway. Autumn’s nearly here.

『In case you haven’t heard the song “Chiisana Koi no Melody” by BLANKEY JET CITY』

    This is Takuro.
Because I couldn’t go see it when it was in theaters, I watched the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” on DVD today. http://www.futsugou.jp/

Those of you who’ve heard even a little about the movie or those who’ve actually seen it should know this already, but the “inconvenient truth” mentioned in the title isn’t inconvenient to the people who watch the movie (or in other words, us). It’s “inconvenient” to the people who intentionally disregard various cases of environmental destruction such as politicians or corporations that Mr. Gore talks about in the film.

I felt the same way when watching Michael Moore’s films. Him and Mr. Gore, they must really think dearly of their country. They seem proud. That must be why they can’t stay silent when America does something off, and they drag that “inconvenient truth” to broad daylight.

I’m sure that’s what director Moore’s new film is about, too. Giving people a chance to think.

By the way, the lyrics to the song “Chiisana Koi no Melody” mentioned above recommends that people watch the movie by the same name, but I already saw it over 10 years ago.

But in any case, you should check out this film ASAP.
If we continue on like this for 10 more years, something “inconvenient” might await us.

PS. Thank you to everyone who came to see us at SWEET LOVE SHOWER.
It’s too bad that it never cleared up, but it was an awesome atmosphere nevertheless.
It’s be great if it was like that next year and the one after that, too.
