Their first show in Tomakomai ended safely and tomorrow it’s Morioka’s turn.
    We’re hoping for your support.

The USB has been announced and they’re still going strong on their long tour, so we’d really appreciate you rooting for them.

All your letters and presents are a source of energy for the band during their commutes!
    Thank you.

    「Vancouver」

I’m watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics and it’s amazingly grand. I think among the people watching this, some might’ve fallen asleep already. (laughs) The theme is to promote Canada’s nature, right? I don’t usually watch sports but I decided to give it a go this time. It seemed interesting and besides, I have a TV in my hotel room.

That reminds me, I read on the newspaper the other day that they’ve trespassed on the holy ground of some tribe when constructing the game course. They’re televising a documentary that’s intent on stopping it. I’m interested in watching the games, but I want to see that, too.

Ah, we’ve arrived at Tomakomai. Last night after our show at Asahikawa, we had a wrap-up party (as seen in the picture uploaded by the staff) due to which every last member of the band and staff forgot to watch Top Runner. (laughs) It was great how earlier when we were doing some interviews in Sapporo, there’d be questions that started with “so in Top Runner yesterday, you said…” and all we could say was “ah, is that right?” (laughs) I don’t think that’ll get published though, nhaha. Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to watch it later.

Ah, the program’s (I couldn’t remember the right word for it (laughs)) ended it seems. The dancers sure danced for all they were worth. That was nice. Regardless of gender, I just like watching people dance. It’s not just dancing either, I just like when people randomly clamor about. Let’s make it another wonderful night tomorrow. With that, later (I’ll keep the Olympic-watching at a reasonable level).

We had a party after yesterday’s show at Asahikawa.

We’re also hoping for your support tomorrow, Tomakomai!

The Asahikawa show is underway at the moment.
Though it’s intensely cold outside, it was a hot show with everyone wearing short sleeves.

    We’ve arrived at Hokkaido!

    There’s snow! Loads of it!

We’re hoping for your support as well, Asahikawa and Tomakomai.

    「Going North」

We’re heading for Hokkaido at the moment. The Tohoku Express is surprisingly free of snow so that’s nice.

Something I’ve learned while getting through the three shows of Yokohama, Toyama and Matsumoto is that this tour has a higher level of humidity, less oxygen and most of all is hotter than any of our tours yet. People of Asahikawa & Tomakomai, please come to the show prepared to release steam from your body. Because it seriously will come out, like “woosh“. (laughs) Since it gets into our guitars and effect pedals during our performance, I’m worried if they’ll last until the end of the tour. (laughs) This is no laughing matter though.

Ah, is that Mount Iwate I wonder? We’re doing good. With that, later.

    「Arrival at Toyama」

We left Tokyo at noon and arrived in Toyama at around 9. On route we had to get off the highway because of heavy snow and get back on it later, so it was a long drive. I was asleep during half of it, though. Toyama’s much more of a snow country than I imagined it. It’s like I’m back home. Playing with us tomorrow are LITE. It’s our first time playing together, huh. I’m looking forward to it, even if it is just one venue. Everyone, watch out for the snow when you come. With that, later.

    「Even so, we’re on tour right now」

The tour began in snowy surroundings. It’s Tokyo’s first snow of the year. “Could well be the last, too” is what I was saying until it snowed again. That’s right, we haven’t actually departed yet. To those of you who came to the first show and especially to the one who was bad at watching his step: welcome to Lizard. Once the band starts playing, it gets really hot and humid, there’ll be drops of water from the ceiling during performance and I had them hitting me several times as if they were like a diagonal meteor shower, but it seems that was just Taki’s sweat. In any case, thank you. I’m sure there was at least one among you who fell over on his way home.

Peeking outside now, it looks like it’s stopped snowing. It’s sure to be snowing heavily in Hokuriku which is where we’ll be heading next. 9mm has performed in harsh snowfall, in rainfall so heavy you wouldn’t believe… so, we’re still not quite sure if we’re sun men, rain men or what. However, when it comes to snow, especially on tours, I think it’s safe to say that we’re definitely snow men in that regard.¹ It’s snowing on every tour we do. Once, it was snowing when we arrived in Hiroshima. “That’s to be expected if you tour this time of the year” is what some of you might say, but I’d like to clarify that just seeing snow is alright, but for us it always results in trouble commuting so we have to be on guard. Being told stuff like “using this highway is forbidden right now!” is very possible (happened to us last year).

I haven’t tried them yet, but it seems there’ve been several people sending me anti-travel sickness medicine. That really helps me out. Thank you very much. Also, if you like, if someone knows of something that instantly puts you to a sleep that you won’t wake up from before 3 hours, definitely do tell me about it please. One that puts you to sleep before you get sick, if possible. (laughs)

I still haven’t gotten ready for the tour though. I’ll leave it at that. Later.

¹ Again, for an explanation on “sun/rain/snow man”, see this.

Inochi no Zenmai Daijungyou” has started today.

The foldable flier has them celebrating the completion of their album.
    Definitely do get yours, please!

We’ll do our best on the tour, so we’re hoping for your support.
