It’s been a week since the summer festival season ended. Even if I try to remember them, my memories are all hazy. Most of the time it felt like I was in a dream. But, once I get on stage tomorrow, I think that feeling will pass. Until the show starts, I want to survey how the atmosphere inside the venue builds up. I want to see what kind of expressions everyone has as they wait (well, the expressions will probably change when the SE starts playing, so in the end I won’t I won’t be able to see them all the way through).
Only 30 minutes until 9mm Day. Are you ready, everyone? I’m itching to play. With that, later.

Getting careless, I noticed there’s only two days to go. We made some last-minute changes to the arrangements and such at the final rehearsal. The typhoon seems to have passed, too. I’m excited. Really, really excited.
I’m attaching a bigger picture of budokan. You’re thinking “…really?” or something, aren’t you? The idea for it didn’t come from the band. (laughs) But, we did say OK to it, so we’re complicit to the crime as well. We’ll accept any slander you might have. (laughs) Nhahahaha～.

Tomorrow we start the final rehearsals for 999. We still have things we’ve yet to try out. It’s right around the corner, huh. It’s a full moon tonight, everyone. To people looking at it right now and to people who are already fast asleep, to people who are hungry and to people who aren’t, to people who are still working, to people who have a sweetheart and to people who don’t, to stray cats and stray dogs — the full moon is shining upon everyone all the same. Having been fixated sooooo long on the word “9月” (September), doesn’t it kind of start resembling the word “9mm”? Oh, okay. That’s a no then. Alright then, later.

Yes yes. Up until around junior high school, I had no doubt in my mind that that “turning the calf upside down” was one of the 48 basic sumo techniques. No, I believed that for even longer… That kind of Chihiro has today taken up the rare deed of wielding his writing brush. Hello.
Well, I have a little advertising to do. Zildjian will launch a line of my signature model drum sticks. As long as you have these, you’ll be aaaall right!!
No matter who you are, you’ll be able to play double bass drums with extreme ease when using these.
…that, is something I can’t really promise you. But they’re good for those who don’t believe in anything but the blastbeat.
They’re also good for the air drummers amongst you. Also, those of you who think your brains might’ve been invaded by filaria. As long as you have these, you’ll be able to look quite a bit like a drummer
Playing drums is of course a given, but they can also be used in various other ways.
☆ As everyday tools
Carry them as self-defense tools and if it looks like you might get attacked… put all your strength into it and utilize them as a legitimate form of self-defense. There’s no doubt that you’ll be blamed for using excessive force in your self-defense.
☆ With Japanese meals
If you’re in need of chopsticks… there’s nothing bigger, nothing more annoying to use than these. However, the rare times you do succeed in using them properly, it’s guaranteed that the inside of your mouth will be nothing less than a jewel box of flavor.

If you use them as sex toys if you’re a girl… yeah, it’ll be aaaall splishy-splashy.

「End of the summer festivals」
The typhoon is giving Tokyo rain, but I think I’ll head outside anyway. That’s my current idle thought.
It felt like both SWEET LOVE SHOWER and RUSH BALL took place within the same day. Therefore, the, um, please overlook the fact that I’ve yet to write anything about them. (laughs)
We easily avoided rain at both festivals and thus managed to conclude the summer festival season in an appropriate manner. Because we do a different setlist every show, these two felt like twins. I learned a lot this summer. Like I wrote before we entered the season: I’ll take what I’ve learned with me as we head towards 999. Those of you who only know the 9mm before M-sta or Memai Taisen, to those of you who are seeing 9mm for the first time in a while at Budokan, let’s just say that we might be somewhat different from before. Pictured up there is a souvenir I received from 9mm team’s I-shita, a Budokan towel. It says “fighting spirit“. Guess I’ll just have to give it my all, huh.

The summer festival appearances ended with today’s show. There were lots of appearances this year as well. Just like that, summer is starting to draw to its close. We’re returning to Tokyo.
