This is Taki.
Thank you to everyone who attended Akatsuki no Yaon. I was really nervous right before the performance but the sound of explosion at the beginning of Vampiregirl also blew away a large part of my nervousness. Frightened me some, too, as I messed up on the guitar a little.
I didn’t know Yaon was that great of a place to play. I want to play there again.
Playing shows again after a while feels fun. Since I played with all my power for nearly two hours, my muscular pain yesterday was so bad I couldn’t even stand up. It still hurts today. If I sneeze or something, my whole body’s in pain.
Muscle pain is a kind of pain that occurs when muscle fibers that have snapped apart regenerate and form anew. That is to say, when muscle pain heals, it means new muscle has been created. Thus, I ate loads of meat and stocked up on the protein yesterday. I ate two convenience store karaage sticks and headed to a gyuudon place right after that. I got a lot of protein and my hamstrings felt like they were in heaven. I also bought things like corned beef but I don’t know how I should eat it. But, rubbing the corn beef cans as you’re opening them is exceedingly fun.
This was Taki.

「Since Akatsuki no Yaon」
It’s been two days already. Thank you to everyone who came!! Ah man, there were all kinds of happenings though. As for me, my acoustic guitar wouldn’t make a sound! And so on. We’d also prepared an electric acoustic guitar for just the chorus of one song but during the actual performance, that one didn’t make a sound either (strained laugh). During rehearsals we were saying “Let’s just bring it out for a bit during the chorus or something, just for appearances you know! Ahahaha~” but it turned out to really be just for appearances (cry). Apart from that, thanks to everyone going completely wild to their heart’s content, I quickly realized my worries about there being seats were completely unnecessary. It was fun. The next time we’re playing Tokyo is at ZEPP Tokyo, huh. I’m looking forward to the tour and our shows. Everyone across the country, listen to VAMPIRE as you wait~.
To change the subject, I had the day off yesterday and today. I spent them by celebrating my younger brother’s birthday (October 18th!) and happily listening to new CD’s I’d bought. Things I hadn’t gotten around to buying yet like Beck’s “Modern Guilt”, and Travis’ new album that’s pictured above. I love them. Right now I have that eye as the wallpaper of my phone as well (a special bonus for purchasers of the album). Okay, later.

「The look of the sky」
It’s looking nice and ominous. Wonder how it’s going to turn out~. Yesterday, I tried writing a blog twice but the unfortunate result was my PC not being able to send it and there being no update… and I felt like I’d written something pretty good, too. I’ll pull myself together. Everyone, whether there’s seats or not is secondary, just dance with your whole mind and body. Let’s just go crazy with fun. Talk to you later.

「Thanks to you」
VAMPIRE’s doing great. Thank you. However, the band are now thinking it’s possible someone might come in any second now and go “It was a prank! The album didn’t actually go on sale~”
Today we were again rehearsing for Akatsuki no Yaon. We played through the whole set again, but coming this far in the rehearsals, you really start to lose track of time (time just goes by in a flash when you’re having fun, doesn’t it?). It’s looking good! I think it’s going to become a rocking performance. Those of you coming to Yaon, are you ready to make noise? 9mm’s all set.
We’ll be appearing as guests on bay-FM’s MOSAIC NIGHT tonight. Those of you who can listen in, please do!!

「To commemorate the release, 9mm celebrated with yakiniku tonight.」
Our 2nd album “VAMPIRE” has finally been released. Today we visited the Tower Record stores in Ikebukuro, Shinjuku and Shibuya, the TSUTAYA and HMV in Shibuya as well as amazon.co.jp (we wrote autographs, scribblings and the silly comment cards, so if you’d like, go check them out). At every store, we saw people carrying it to the register to get a trial listening. Not only that, but we had people telling us “I bought it” as we were writing our scribbles. Umm, to everyone across the country who’s selling “VAMPIRE” in their store, and to everyone who went and bought it, thank you very much. Really.
The town where I was born and raised in didn’t have CD shops to begin with and the only place I could buy them was the market near my high school. So, I’d always have to order the things I really wanted to hear and I’d be waiting anxiously for the new releases from my favorite bands to arrive. There’s not a lot that’d make me happier than if 9mm’s CD’s invoked that kind of a feeling in someone. I’m hoping people will enjoy themselves when they get theirs — we enjoyed ourselves when making it, at any rate.
Now then, only 3 more days until Akatsuki no Yaon!!

「The radio show’s over!」
Thanks to everyone who tuned in. I was happy to receive lots of messages from people, saying they’d already heard VAMPIRE. The actual release date is the 15th, so go and have a look inside the CD store.
I was going to upload this picture during the day but I’ll just upload it now. Just think up your own caption for it. Just what are those two discussing…

「It’s because of the level of humidity」
The hugeness of my hair, that is. It’s raining in Tokyo.
9mm’s in rehearsal for Akatsuki no Yaon. We’re in this huge studio and we’re going to play through the entire set we plan to do at the show itself, but the rhythm section seem to be busy. Kamijo has reached the age when he’s interested in everyone else’s equipment, so he’s asking Kazuhiko about his. When it’s my turn, I’ll tell him “these are maracases.“

「VAMPIRE」
At last, tomorrow the 15th is its release date! Set your sights for this jacket. I’m hoping for it to reach the ears of all kinds of people.
Oh. My cold has completely healed, thank you. Thanks to everyone who worried about me. With that, see you at the CD shop.

「The beasts on the covers give the books a nice feel, right?」
Due to strange circumstances, I’m currently reading Osamu Tezuka’s “Buddha”. I’ve already read it who knows how many times, but it’s still interesting. Whether it’s sad things or painful things, happy things or fun things, there’s no stopping whatever’s coming our way. The release date of VAMPIRE is one of those things. We can’t stop any of it. As I was thinking “won’t it come out already~”, I realized its release is next week already. It’s approaching.
Yesterday before our rehearsal at the studio, I headed to the convenience store to buy things. Since I had some time to spare, I was reading there while standing when suddenly “Living Dying Message” came on. Since I go there pretty much daily, you’d think I’d have noticed the change in the rotation of songs. So, since I’m not at all accustomed to hearing our songs like that, I was caught completely off-guard (I wonder just how someone can get “used to” something like that) and so I just stood there astonished for a while. “Ahaha, I know this song. Wait, the man next to me reading Shounen Magazine, there’s no way he knows it’s me singing, right? He wouldn’t think it’s this guy frilly-headed guy next to him, reading Morning (I read a soccer manga called GIANT KILLING first. Unfortunately, I know nothing about soccer, but I do like the manga), right? Nhahaha.” That’s my easygoing way of getting excited as we’re getting closer to our upcoming release. Tomorrow we’re doing an open to the public live radio broadcast, so we’ll be going to Spainzaka in Shibuya. People around the area, please come and see 9mm behind the thick glass. Hey! You can’t give them food! And of course those of you who can’t come, do listen in, too~.
