「Which one of us is the snow man?¹

    1/11 (Sun), Nara → Kagawa

Today was a commute day. There was a ferris wheel in this service area we used while on our way to Awaji (also on our way to Shiga). If you see a ferris wheel when you’re around the 9mm team, you always start singing Termination to yourself. Mainly it’s just me doing the singing though.

Arriving at Takamatsu, there was an udon shop next to our hotel so we immediately went for a bite. It’s a shop that’s open all the way until morning. That’s pretty awesome. Then, in the evening we were checking the band score. Once we got it, we were double-checking it while praising its accuracy. The band kids among you hoping to get one, please wait just a little more! It should be done soon. We’ll throw in a comment this time as well.

It seems it’ll be snowing tomorrow. Oh dear. It seems to be getting colder country-wide. Take care to not catch a cold, everyone. With that, see you tomorrow.

    Picture 1/
At the lobby of the Nara hotel, everyone was fooling around with this.
When you wear it, you start looking upwards for some reason.

    Checking!!

    Tsukimi. It was delicious.

¹ Not in the literal sense of the word. It’s the “snow” version of ameonna/ameotoko, i.e. meaning “which one of us made it snow?”

Everyone, everyone was drinking. Nostalgic deliciousness.

    「Careful tuning」

    October 1st (Sat) Nara NEVERLAND

We played with POLY today as well. Compared to the last show, the venue this time gave a different impression and our performance was fun. I think we really were nervous last time. Talking about what an area’s known for to its own residents, that’s actually really quite odd, isn’t it? (Hayashi and me both talked about deer in our MC’s.¹) During the show, the lighting from the stage created this backlight which created this mysterious view where the audience’s hands swaying about looked like vegetation. The underwater kind.

It’ll be morning soon. We’ll start off on our commute when we wake up.
Everyone from Nara, thanks. We’ll come again.

    Good night.

¹ Nara is known for its freely roaming deer.

9mm may sometimes be next to you.

    For example…
    If you’re a youngster with a 9mm bag, testing a guitar…

    「The human body is 60% water」

January 9th (Fri), Shiga U☆STONE, with POLYSICKS

Thank you to everyone who came today.
After the show we immediately got on the road and just arrived at Nara.
We had ramen with everyone. I ate a little too much.

This was the first show of our 2009 tour. I thought the name was read as “you-stone“, but it’s actually “yous-tonne.” Seems like it’s pronounced the same as “Houston.” With a high ceiling, it also has second floor seating which is where we spied on POLYSICS’ performance and laughed at their ever-the-same coolness. 9mm might’ve been a little nervous for a change, but that didn’t affect our explosiveness. During the MC, I asked “so much of the Shiga prefecture consists of  Lake Biwa?” and got my answer without a moment’s delay: “one sixth!!” I was surprised to know that as it was much more than I thought. Thanks to that, the following MC’s were good and it helped raise our spirits which in turn improved our performance. (lol) Still, it’s pretty great how someone immediately replied with 1/6. I wonder if they have special Lake Biwa education here. Nhaha.

This will be our first time playing in Nara since our tour with ELLEGARDEN the year before last.
We’ll make this show the superior one. With that, see you again tomorrow.

Sento-kun greeted us at our hotel.

    「An exciting tour diary (maybe)」

I’ve decided to blog everyday on our ’09 tour. There’ll probably be days with really short entries and conversely longer ones as well. How will the first one turn out? I won’t know until I’m done.

The 9mm team departed Tokyo at noon and arrived at Shiga in the evening. I’m not really strong against travel sickness — on the contrary, I can’t take it at all — so every time we’re commuting, my head gets faint, I feel physically bad and I can’t shake off that depressed feeling. I think it’s because there’s no fresh air as I’m fine when it comes to trains. Cause those thing do stop at the stations and there’s a “whoosh!” when the doors open, bringing in fresh air (or something, I don’t know).

Nevertheless, as you saw in the previous blog, our car this time is rather cool (and moreover it stands out). I’m considering if it’s necessary to turn the tour diary into a travel sickness diary or not. Nope, it’s not. Our shows start tomorrow so I should be sleeping right now.

Nice to meet you, Shiga. We’re 9mm Parabellum Bullet. Pleased to make your acquaintance. With that, see you tomorrow.

    「Yeah-Yeah-Yeah」

I got my palms read a while back.

After guessing right on all the basics like my personality and stuff, the doctor (let’s just call him that since he was looking at my hands) spotted this little mole between my wrist and palm and said to me “this isn’t good.” I of course asked him “huh, why’s that?” and he answered “it looks like you’ll get a serious illness at around 80 or 90, please be careful.

The doctor was saying that in all seriousness, but I couldn’t help but laugh a little. I was planning on living until 120 with a live picture serving as my funeral portrait, so dying at such a young age would trouble me greatly.

So with that, I’ve decided on making health my no. 1 priority for the ’09 tour.
Let’s throw safety and lawfulness in that as well.

And it’d be good if it resulted in some good pictures as well. Nhaha.

    「Happy New Year」

Happy New Year. This time I properly returned home and ate mochi on on New Year’s. Last time, I was writing lyrics and playing live at the (now defunct) EMI 3rd, so it was quite a more proper New Year’s this time around when compared to last year’s.

And so, 9mm is returning to activity today.
We’re hoping for your support in 2009 as well.

    The ’09 tour is starting~!!

Next year is the Year of 9mm!?
Keeping that in mind, we conquered it!
