「Movement YOKOHAMA is behind us」
It ended up a huge success. Thanks to all who came. With that, our tour will begin. First up, it’s Yokohama for a second time. Wait for us, Japan!

「The night before Movement YOKOHAMA」
How many more hours left? I hope all of you coming tomorrow don’t forget about conserving electricity before leaving your homes. Actually, it’d be nice if our equipment (guitar amps and such) got delivered here on the electricity all of the people coming save, and the overall power level would thus go up… just a thought. Oh, and also, how about if all the hot air you guys make at the venue could be used for power generation? Mmm. When one’s ideas get this difficult and the jokes this dull, sleep might be a good idea.
No matter how big of a venue you play in, there’s sure to be people who can’t see you even though they want to, people who can’t come no matter how badly they want to. I’m hoping I’ll somehow get to meet even the people who can’t come tomorrow. Did you see our tour schedule? Those of you who’ve known 9mm for a long time should’ve noticed there’s something unusual about it. Just what that something is, I can not say. Fufufu.
In any case, it’s party time tomorrow. Let’s make it grand. Those of you who can’t come, too, fill your thoughts with Movement. I invite everyone to come. With that, I’ll see you tomorrow.

「Strike down the rainy season」
I thought I’d take a picture of our big rehearsal yesterday and upload it, but I forgot about it entirely. Inexcusable.
Anyway, Movement YOKOHAMA is finally the day after tomorrow. Like I thought, this moment came in a blink. I’m gradually getting more and more restless. It’d be good if it didn’t rain. Though it seems to be straying from the Kantou area, there’s also a typhoon about. Even though everyone’s making the effort to come and see us… I beg of you, be good, typhoon. Since it’s come to this, let’s all kick the rainy season’s ass at the Arena. I hear some of you saying “but if you do that, summer will come!” While it is true that a really hot summer wouldn’t be very welcome this year, but we do have the power of our imagination, don’t we? Let’s use that to our advantage and make the hot summer into a good thing. Let’s wear our yukata. Let’s frolic in the water. And above all, since 9mm’s touring throughout the summer, let’s make each day one that evaporates our sweat, our tears and our blood. Nah, that’d be too much. Whoops, looks like this turned into talk about the tour. We still have the Arena before that. We’ll meet there. From now on I’ll be imagining the moment our performance starts. Everyone else should do the same, too. With that, later.

「Lunar eclipse ~ summer solstice」
It’s been a week since the release of Movement. There was a lunar eclipse in that time. Anyway, I wonder if you’ve all heard the album. I was really looking forward to getting it out there and, with any luck, having it blasting from everyone’s speakers. The staff posted pics of this already, but they had Movement properly lined up on sale in CD shops all over. I even saw people buying it in front of my own eyes. I’m sure the same happened in places we didn’t get to visit, too. I’m very happy about that. I feel grateful. A friend of mine from the countryside went through the trouble of getting tickets to our live house tour. That’s another thing that made me feel grateful. We’re going to be immersed in live shows for the rest of the year. Oh, and we finally have Movement YOKOHAMA coming up later this week.
Tomorrow and the day after we’re going to a bigger studio, bringing just a little more equipment than usual and doing a big dress rehearsal just before the real thing. Doing so frees us to basically just do the final check-ups on the day before the show. It seems there’s a bunch of people who read the message from 9mm the other day and decided they’re coming to see us at the Yokohama Arena after hearing Movement. To tell you the truth, I’m actually kind of glad that the tickets didn’t sell out immediately… there’s bound to be people attending who first heard us with Movement. And indeed there are. In any case, there’s still time. Are you going to let someone else have the seat meant for you?… If you do… hmm?… Well, that’s enough of that. (lol)
The 9mm team is working as one to ensure that Movement YOKOHAMA is a great success. Let’s continue luring the people still hesitating into coming to see the show. Did you think Movement was an awesome album? Then lend it to people who haven’t heard it. Stealthily putting it in their bags or desks works, too. That’s all for today. Looks like it’s summer solstice tomorrow.

I’m guessing this was written by Takuro.
「The night before the release of Movement」
Our latest and best work “Movement” is released tomorrow. I’m sure some of you have heard it already. I’m listening to the album as I’m writing this. I’m praying for the album to reach the ears of even one more person. Lots of people are running around doing their best to achieve just that. It’s not something the four of us in 9mm can do alone, with the exception of performing the music. The album title includes the nuances of the words “migration” and “movement“. It’s an album with plenty of sounds to “move” the listener’s bodies and minds. It moved the people who are running around doing their best for us, too. The time’s finally come. Now the only thing left is for you people to pick it up. I definitely want you to listen to it. We were looking forward to this, too. Let’s experience this “Movement” together!!

「Notice」
The deadline of applications for the lottery of the live house tour tickets is today at 23 o’clock. Thank you for the many applications we’ve received. Thanks to you, for the tour opening at Yokohama Club Lizard and for Shibuya La.mama… we somehow received over ten thousand applications. All of us in the 9mm team are overjoyed and……?…… Hang on a second. There’s still tickets left for Yokohama Arena.
We have a suggestion. How about coming to see us at Movement YOKOHAMA?
All tickets are seated so you can watch comfortably, the venue is nice and spacey, we have the leading edge, state-of-the-art faculties prepared, it’s an ever-growing street with lots of businesses and sightseeing opportunities, and it’s only a 5-minute walk from the Shin-Yokohama station! Access is outstandingly easy! More than anything, we’re scheming for things we’re only going to do at Yokohama Arena. Even today we practiced the whole day. Even though Movement YOKOHAMA is shaping up to be such a glamorous event, why, why will you not come…!? We’re perplexed as we are bursting into laughter.
You, you who are growing hopeless at your chances for winning tickets to Yokohama Club Lizard or Shibuya La.mama, we have a seat prepared for you at Yokohama Arena. I want you to tell this to all the boys and the girls who don’t know this yet, as well as all the grandfathers and the grandmothers and the papas and the mamas, too. Movement YOKOHAMA is going to be the best night ever. Look forward to June 26th. 9mm will be practicing tomorrow, too!!

「Notice」
Just now after I’d written a blog, all the text disappeared. And I’d written so much already.
We did a lot of promotion for the album today.
In any case, a notice. The other day I recorded a song. I think some of you know about it already. It’s the one called “Yotei” (“Plans“). I did the Yamagata version of course. When we were at the photo shoot for the NO MUSIC, NO LIFE poster featuring us that’s currently on display at Tower Records (I’m really happy about it by the way), Mr. Yanai asked me if I’d like to sing it. If it’s in my power to do something like that and he’s fine with me singing it, then I definitely will. I agreed to do it on the spot. I’m the only one featured in the recording, but the other three were there listening as I sang it. Even if you’re not from Yamagata, even if you’ve never even been to Tohoku, I’d like for you to listen to it. All of the proceeds will be donated towards the earthquake aid. “Why didn’t you put this or that in the lyrics?” is what some of you Yamagata people might be asking. Well, if you are thinking that, feel free to take your lyrics and make them into your own “Yotei.” (lol) Yeah, it’d be good if everyone sang their own version, too. It feels great. Even if you just sing about Yamagata’s place names or products, even if it’s not just a list of what you like about it or something. Whatever you feel is best. A city’s name holds power. Place names are amazing because we’ve been calling them by the same names since ages past. Just the fact that people have been working at something endlessly for such a long time, that alone is amazing. Uh, I wonder if I’ve gone a little off-topic.
“Yotei ~Yamagata ni Kaettara~” will go on sale today, June 1st. I won’t force you, but I’d like you to listen to it. Well then, later.

「Countdown!」
Only a month to go until the rescheduled “Movement YOKOHAMA”!! We’re gradually deciding on the setlist. Combining songs from the new album as well as our other songs up until now, we’ll come up with a new way to present our music. With that said, Movement will of course be the main dish of the night. It has 11 songs after all. I know you guys haven’t heard it yet, but I want you to please wait just a little bit more. The album cover’s out already so you can fixedly stare at that if you’d like. The real thing’s even better and the shot was taken just for this album’s sake. Though it’s a bit unusual, don’t you think it’s a beautiful picture? Once you listen to the album, I think you’ll see that the cover’s a perfect fit. Just wait a little bit more.
This reminds me, it seems “Atarashii Hikari” debuted at 9th on the Oricon chart. I thought it was some kind of a joke but it looks to be for real. From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone who went out and got it. Thank you. I wonder if everyone downloaded the EMI ROCKS recording, too. Once you I hear it, I think it’ll make you want to come see us at Yokohama Arena. Our CD’s, it’s fine if you share them with your siblings or the rest of your family, or if you loan them to friends or borrow them from TSUTAYA or something. I don’t mind. If you listen to them, that alone will make me really happy.
Well then, the countdown starts today. Pictured up there are the remains of our planning for the designs of the limited edition goods for sale the Arena concert. You can see something resembling a T-shirt as well. Look forward to that, too!
